Where would be without them? Post your challenge books about inventors here.

Melissa The Man Who Knew Too Much: Alan Turing and the Invention of the Computer by David Leavitt. Well written study of Turning as well as his machines. It is helpful to have an understanding of math theory, imaginary number and the mechanics of computers to read this book at times, but it is not necessary. Excellent book, if you watched the movie The Imitation Game with Benedict Cumberbatch you might want to read a book on the same subject.

Danielle (a_bookish_shelf) | 36 comments Mechanica by Betsy Cornwall. This is a steam punk Cinderella retelling. Nicolette wants to take after her mother and be an inventor.
