Happy New Year to you, Peggy! Looking forward to upcoming announcements. :-)

I did not begin the year with a Scottish book but hope to fit one in this month or February. Looking forward to viewing everyone's posts and progress, though.

Happy New Year Peggy! I've just finished the first Harry Potter book, and I'm currently reading Ali Smith's The First Person and Other Stories, and Jenni Fagan's The Panopticon. My challenge is to read one book each of 50 Scottish authors - but I'm enjoying these two books so much I suspect I'll immediately go on to more of these two authors.

James | 44 comments Happy New Year everyone! I'm looking forward to getting started. I'm halfway through a book from Ireland just now .... but once it's finished I'll get started on something. I've got His Bloody Project on order, and The Panopticon is definitely on my list - heard good things about it and John's enjoying it at the moment as well.

Lorna (rogue_librarian) Heads up on a good deal - I subscribe to a book sale notification service, and I just learned that His Bloody Project in Kindle edition is on sale on at Amazon (US) for $1.99. These deals are often one-day only, so if you've been wanting to purchase it, today would be a good day. No, I don't work for Amazon, but I have read the book (purchased for full price) and loved it.
