Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Station Eleven - Emily St. John Mandel

This is one of those books I'd been meaning to read, but just hadn't because I had so many other things going. I was browsing the audiobooks at the library and there it was, so I decided to give it a go. The reader was decent, and I enjoyed the story. Though there was an incident towards the end that I was surprised didn't get more discussion or treatment as the plot wrapped up. No matter!

Sarah I listened to Agincourt by Bernard Cornwell. It was pretty good but I am not such a huge fan of audiobooks.

Wendy | 25 comments I think they have their purpose. I enjoy them when doing repetitive tasks that might be boring otherwise, but nothing beats holding a book in your hands. Lately, I find that I have one real book and one audiobook going at a time because I get different experiences from each. I'm not a fan of eBooks myself. I work and play so much on the computer that it just doesn't feel as exciting to me to read a book on my phone or computer although there are times when it is easier to get a book that way.

Wendy | 25 comments I finished "Death comes to Pemberley" a while back. I enjoyed it. At first, I thought it might bore me, I almost turned it back in, but the more I listened I began to appreciate it. The mystery started to remind me a bit of Agatha Christie (I'm a big fan of Poirot) and I began to appreciate the idiosyncrasies of the characters as they developed in relation to the story. I watched the PBS miniseries on Netflix afterward which was also pretty good.

Tam | 3 comments Try Dawn French audio books Oh, Dear Silvia and According to Yes. Her audio books are fantastic as she does some of the narrating and the other characters are done by other actors. Very funny and enjoyable

Hannah I listened to Tidewater: A Novel of Pocahontas and the Jamestown Colony by Libbie Hawker which was a great read that's not quite your typical Pocahontas story. Definitely recommend!
