That's a good one. I've never read his first series, but I thought it would be good to start the second with everyone else.

I only (finally) got round to reading His Dark Materials a couple of years ago after owning it for years. Really enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to going back to that world :)

Margo (dandylines) 1984
Many people are now reading to understand "alternative facts" and how they get created.

Anabel I read 1984, I really liked it but it's not very optimistic. I hope for a better end in real life

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4) by Sarah J. Maas , the forth book in the Throne of Glass series. I liked this installment much more than I did Heir of Fire, but Aelin pissed me off big time during this book. I actually came to like Rowan more by the end, but I still don't care much about him and I can't ship Rowaelin, ugh. MANON E DORIAN, THOUGH. Also, Lysandra is too awesome for words.

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 231 comments I read Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly Highly recommended for WWII historical fiction fans. I found it a little irritating to switch between the three main characters throughout the book, just when you get to something good, but I got over it! Thank goodness the chapter titles let you know! Three females, German, Polish, and American, and how their lives are affected by the war and each other. Parts were difficult to read - German prison camp for women - but no truly gory details.
