Sex Object: A Memoir (Jessica Valenti)
https://www.amazon.com/Sex-Object-Mem...
And,
Why I Am Not a Feminist: A Feminist Manifesto (Jessa Crispin)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/161...
Both seem very interesting to me.

I have some new releases I'm looking forward to:
1) As Murakami is one of my favorite authors (if not THE fav) I'm looking forward to read "Men without Women" that will be released on the 9th of May. http://www.harukimurakami.com/book/me...
2) For the same reason and for the fact that I love mythology I can't wait for "Norse Mythology" by Neil Gaiman to be released on the 7th of February! (this year is going to be released the show inspired by "American Gods" as well, so as a Gaiman fan this is potentially going to be a great year)
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
3) And there is this "White Tears" by Hari Kunzru. I didn't read anything by this author but this book has a plot that immediately intrigued me and I can't take it out from my head. It will be out on the 14th of March.

Talking about books that I'm simply planning to read, even though I hate to make lists (simply because I'll never adhere to them) I'm planning to read something by Philip Roth because sadly I never got the chance to read one of his novels (and if you by the chance have any suggestion, please tell me!) and yesterday I actually found out that my Grandpa keeps in his library a copy of "Resurrection" by Tolstoj, which is a book that I've been wanting to read for a long time now. So I think after finishing the one I'm currently reading, I'll take the chance and read Resurrection.

And I'm still finishing To Kill a Mockingbird.

Also excited for How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life by Lilly Singh--this will be the first "Youtuber" book I pick up, because I really enjoy iiSuperwomanii's videos and appreciate her approach to life.

By the way, Can anyone recommend me a book? I'm interested in feminism (obviously), nature, travel and inspiring life stories! I would love to add some new books to my reading list. Thanks ♥

Farenheit 451 is brilliant for what its worth. And if you want to see a movie that kind of deals with a similar theme (although a little more action oriented) check out Equilibrium with Christian Bale.

It seems really interesting... and maybe it's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks you so much!

Apart books from OSS I just joined, I plan to read "classics" such as Animal Farm by George Orwell, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, I Know why the caged bird sings by Maya Angelou, The Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, The Catcher in the Rye, Maus, Lord of the Flies...
And others books too: Cycle of Robots by Isaac Asimov, Sacrament by Clive Barker, a graphic novel titled Punk rock Jesus, The girl with the lower back tattoo by Amy Schumer (this one caught me on Goodreads, and I saw some tv shows by her :D it looks fun !)
I hope to keep up with the books from OSS. I'm also looking forward to reading the illustrated versions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone -and the chamber of secrets. I own a copy of the first book for over a year and I haven't read it until now. That's a shame!

Bitch Planet has been my favorite graphic novel of the last 10 years, hands down.

I am hoping that "Solutions and Other Problems" by Allie Brosh will be released sometime in 2017.

Really? I know that movie but thought it was completely different. Haven't seen it, yet. Thanks :)

Plan to continue The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy (I read book 1 and 2 so far and loved both).
Quite likely continue the Valor Series: An Ancient Peace
And I'm looking forward to the release of Donna Alward's new Series:Somebody Like You
Also probably Stephen Bogart's book about his father: Bogart: In Search of My Father

Happy new year.
I'm excited to read The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan and Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare.
Saludos desde Tabasco, México.

I like this topic. I'm looking to reread all the books I took for granted and finishing up the ones I dropped.
Jane Eyre (one of my favs)
A girl named disaster (maybe)
A time to kill by John Grisham
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton
The Bluest eye (maybe) or Song of solomon by Toni Morrison
The man of feeling by Henry Mackenzie (this one is a HUGE maybe, I'm not sure if I'm up for it)
I'm definitely going to try Their eyes were watching God since I was pretty hostile towards it way back when (because of how it was written) - the language and style was daunting, I suppose.
Does anyone want to do a trade?
I need:
Seasons of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih
The Last Days of Dog Town by Anita Diamant
Good Harbor by Anita Diamant
Franny and Zooey by Salinger
Bartleby by Melville
I probably still have a good amount of literature from my feminist classes (way back when) if anyone is for real interested in doing a trade off. I seriously want the Salih book and the last days of Dog Town.

Thnx in advance "
I think those Melissa Marr books were pretty big with girls back when I was in high school. I think it's called Wicked lovely series - it's about some messed up faeries putting tattoos on humans and messing them up.
The Crucible - I personally didn't enjoy it but a lot of the girls in my class loved it, but I think that's historical fiction.
A Girl named disaster is a coming of age story that takes place in Africa. It's adventurous, humorous but the ratings for it isn't great but I personally enjoyed it. She's from this village where fat is considered hot and she's thin, so she's considered ugly.
