My very first book discussion. I am a little nervous. But I am sure the more I do it, the better I will be.

How did you find the book? Did someone recommend it to you?

I want to thank Lanelle for recommending the book. I am so GLAD to read it.

To tell you the truth, it took me some time to enjoy the book. I think because I have been reading Anne of Green Gables before Pollyanna. I couldn't help it. There are some similars between the two books; especially the beginning. I gave it another try and I finished it in ONE DAY.

Funny moments in the book.
In Chapter 7, Pollyanna and Punishments: (view spoiler)["She says when he calls out ‘Hep—Hep!’ she feels just as if the next minute he was going to yell ‘Hurrah!’ And she doesn’t like to be hurrahed at." (hide spoiler)]
In Chapter 11, Introducing Jimmy: (view spoiler)[“Oh, I know just the place for you,” she cried. “Aunt Polly’ll take you—I know she will! Didn’t she take me? And didn’t she take Fluffy and Buffy, when they didn’t have any one to love them, or any place to go?—and they’re only cats and dogs. Oh, come, I know Aunt Polly’ll take you! My favorite chapters are chapter 22, 28, 30, 31, and 38.

I also had fun guessing which man (John Pendleton or Dr. Chilton) was Miss Polly's lover.
