Valerie | 39 comments Unfortunately, I have read most of what is on the Goodreads list of books with 800 pages...OR, there is a reason I did not read it. 800 is a LOT, and many of the books I THOUGHT migh qualify, are just short.

I am thinking of Mists of Avalon. Has anyone read it? What did you think?

Another suggested to me is Middlemarch by George Elliot.

I do NOT want non-fiction. So, if you have other titles, I am sure not just myself, but others would appreciate some suggestions.

Meg (meginfrance) | 24 comments I read Mists of Avalon back in college---and I enjoyed it, mainly because I am fascinated by King Arthur, Morgane le Fey and Merlin...if the King Arthur Legend interests you, it is an easy read (from what I remember). I was thinking of rereading again for this "requirement".

Zoe (zoezoe) Have you read 11/22/63 by Stephen King? It's fantastic.

I read Shogun 35 years ago and remember clearly how much I enjoyed it. I forget so many books I read.
Another book that is over 800 pages is Outlander by Diane Gabaldon. Most of the books in the series are over 800.
