Tony | 200 comments I am an avid reader and enjoy reading many different authors and series. I'm at a point where I've completed all available books in 30+ series and am waiting for the next installment of each. I find trying to keep track on "if there will be more coming and if so when" is becoming harder and harder to do.

Now some authors use a newsletter which I like since I get an email on what's happening once a month or so. Others like Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs use a web site that is kept up to date. Then there are those that want you to follow their blog where you have to shift thru tons of random thoughts to find out anything concerning their upcoming works.

So, how do you track authors/series that you want to follow?

Mark Henwick | 8 comments The author's website *should* be good, it's in their interest after all. Some also maintain a list for people who want an email notification only when a book is released. If they don't, make the suggestion.

If you go to the Amazon author's page, at the top right hand corner, you'll see a link "stay up to date". I've heard that's not always reliable and I think it's only on the US site.

Jean ~ Kindle Queen (jkat9) | 34 comments I use FictFact to keep track of my series. It takes a bit of work initially to enter all of your series, but it's so worth it. I get an email whenever a new book is added to a series I follow and whenever a new book is released. www.fictfact.com

You would think so however I've found a number of authors have abandoned their web sites. Others never seem to update theirs. Too much work to maintain I guess.

Thanks for the "stay up to date" info. I'll check it out

Thank you for telling us about Ficfact! I've been having problems keeping up with my series' lately, too. Awesome suggestion.

Audrey Jane | 29 comments I agree with Jean. FictFact helped me to keep track of new releases and even to discover new books. Check out the "book release calendar" under 'coming soon' :)

Note: in some cases GR is ahead.

Jean ~ Kindle Queen (jkat9) | 34 comments I hope FictFact works well for everyone. Audrey Jane is right that sometimes FictFact is a little out-of-date compared to Goodreads. It's too bad GR doesn't have some sort of series tracker built in.

Christiane (christianed) | 1 comments I receive the monthly goodreads new releases email and select the option for authors I have read, that and a couple of urban fantasy blogs have monthly new releases emails so it gets me by... Though I am always looking up in advance on the authors sites and I have most in my calendar with an alarm set! Tragic I know!

Who knows, maybe someday FictFact and GR will merge.

Yeah, the monthly GR mail can be practical too, but they're mostly random book recommendations and the popular releases. I like the countdown to new releases on FictFact. I especially keep an eye on Magic Breaks :)

You can also regularly check out and vote on listopia lists with new releases. Or just do it the old fashioned way and make an excel sheet lol.
