Amy's grandfather turns out to be connected to a larger initiative involving former Nazi SS doctors and officers who conducted experimentations. Did you find this plausible?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments Yes and no. Yes - there have been reports about escaped Nazi's in South America, so it is possible that something like this could exist. No - why would they want to reconstruct something like that when they barely escaped the first time?

South America's harboring of Nazis is borne in fact so that was pretty easy to swallow. I actually could imagine students or followers of the infamous Joseph Mengeles wanting to very much continue the work he started.

I recently read a book called Lilac Girls and there was a female doctor who helped with experiments on Polish women. She never had any remorse about the work she'd done (it was absolutely appalling) and tried to justify it. After having read that true story, this seemed entirely plausible.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments I found it plausible. Extremist views are so rampant that i could see that if those people are indoctrinated nod have those beliefs, they would do whatever they could to continue their works for their "greater good".

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Sad to say, this was less a fictional account when it came to Nazis escaping to South America. It was/is truly horrifying.
