Hi, I'm a practitioner of vipassana and a writer. I started out in the publishing business as a manuscript editor but have been making my living as a freelance writer for 30 years, writing my own books but also ghosting books for other people, as well as writing articles, manuals, websites, grant proposals, and so on.

For me writing (my own books, not the ones I do for others) is closely connected to spirituality. My first spiritual experience occurred during my early thinking about my first book, on the meaning of homeless women.

Over the years I investigated quite a few spiritual practices but settled on this form of Buddhism, which feels just right to me. Like others I have problems with anxiety, and the meditation techniques I've been taught have been instrumental in managing it.
