Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) Tell us here what book you reading now? Who is it by? What genre is it? How is it so far? Great? Good? Bad?

Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) I'm currently reading City of Heavenly Fire. Have read only its prologue so far.

& I'll start to kill a mockingbird tonight.

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) I'm hoping to pick up To Kill a Mockingbird sometime today. And also, hopefully finishing The Hero of Ages.

Thoroughly enjoying the latter - it has a few interesting twists that I have just reached. So, I am guessing it'll probably be better the second book in the series.

Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) I started A Song for Arbonne by Guy Gavriel Kay yesterday.

I'm not a huge fan of the Series, I'm reading it because this is the last book in series and I want to complete it.

Beside that it qualify for massive tome challenge :D:D:D

I wasnt a fan of the previous books too. But since this is the last book, Clare has outdone herself. It is much better than the rest of the TMI books!

Yes I'm a huge fan. The amount of world building it has is staggering, characterization is great and it has some of the best duos in fiction. I just love Fiddler and Hedge, Mappo & Icarium, Tehol & Bug and sergeant Hellian is a blast.

message 36: by Akshay (new)

Akshay (akshay_sauron) | 651 comments More importantly the range of emotions that I go through when reading this series, it is something which I have not found anywhere else.

Its great to have a huge fan of this series with us and someone to discuss this one with us. :)

well I'm not impressed with the series. No doubt world creation is great but it has so many other flaws.

take the POVs, Erickson switch so abruptly from one person to other that sometimes it took me 3 or 4 pages to actually understand who the person is and what is going on.

Magic System: it plays such an important part and yet again Erickson never explains magic. I still don't know what different warrens and houses do exactly. which one is the most powerful and which one is the weakest.

But I liked Fiddler in second book :)
