I also noticed her repeated clarification that she didn't mean "all men," and that "obviously men can be raped/abused/murdered by women too." I actually lost count of how many times she says it in the first essay.
What I really had the strongest reaction to was her essay about the Isla Vista shooting, because I remember following the news on it the day it happened, and reading the resulting #YesAllWomen stories on Twitter. And, obviously, because I have my own #YesAllWomen stories.

This book was undoubtedly tough to read for me, if only because the material presented was difficult to digest. Certain facts were ones that I had already known (like how the number one cause of death for pregnant women is being murdered by their partner); but reading statement after statement, example after example, made it hard for me to get through it. I kept having a visceral reaction, and would have to stop reading to calm myself down.
I think this book did a great job of pointing out all of these different statements and facts, which enabled Solnit to build this case that women do not experience full equality as men do. I did also notice that even in this book, Solnit wrote that "not all men" consolation several times.
