Fantasy Book Club discussion

Helen and I were tossing back and forth who might be good actors to play the different roles if Warbreaker were made into a movie. I thought it might be fun if we start a header where we do this every month for the book of the month. I just thought I would see what kind of response we get here to see if many people would be interested.

What a fun idea! Colin Farrell would make a great Vasher. I'll have to think about the other characters for a bit.

To me she is just that ultimate clever sexually charged person.

Plus nobody would traditionally pick her

Butler, yes! The audio guy played him with a sorta drawl. It reminded me of someone who I could almost see.

I know Helen and I discussed this. What does everyone else think of Ryan Reynolds as Light Song?

Colin Ferrell would be a perfect Vasher.

I'd go along with casting Ryan Reynolds as Lightsong...good choice.

Derek Jacobi could have a role as one of the main priests...not sure he'd be right for the part of Scoot, but Bluefingers or Treledees.

Would Judi Dench be insulted to play the role of Allmother?

I'm curious...does listening to the audio book version influence how you view the characters? (Helen, you listen to lots of audiobooks.)

I could see Derek Jacobi as a good Bluefinger.

I was going to say Bluefingers.

It's a new thing. They changed the bus timetable, so instead of two buses and door-to-door in 30 minutes it became 40-45 minutes.

I can walk it in 35-40 and then I decided to audio it. I've exhausted the library so now I'm audible.

The audio must influence me as they voices. I keep thinking of guy from hunger games, Thors brother, for Vivenners friend. That must be spelt wrongly.
