Introduce Yourself in 2017!
I am so excited that this is happening again this year!! It was one of my favorite parts of booktube and goodreads last year. I just wanted to pop in and say hi :) I am looking forward to participating and I am also looking forward to officially jumping in and abandoning my anxiety and starting a booktube channel in the upcoming months. I look forward to participating along with all you wonderful people!!!

Really happy that this event is still going strong. The last two of these helped me find some fantastic current reads that I probably wouldn't have got to otherwise since I tend to be a little out of touch with a lot of current book releases. I don't do BookTube or anything, but I do keep a book blog and generally just love fiction in all forms. Looking forward to seeing what the group will be talking about this year!
Glad to see more Booktube SFF Awards, it has been a good year for SF releases, if not IRL.I'm just a viewer, occasional commenter, and general lurker.
I have been a little cheeky suggesting to almost everyone I know-ish on GR to join this group, with very little threats to vote the "right way".
(democracy doesn't always make the "right" choices!)
So you can all relax I know which is the best Novel, YA, and Graphic novel of the year and I'm willing to share what I know with you lucky people. LOL :) haha
I'm super excited to get back to this! I had a lot of fun following in with last year's. I'm a blogger, occasional video maker (getting better slowly), and definite lurker at times. This year we had some stellar stuff, I can't wait to see what we get on the lists. I need to catch up on these series!

Hi, I'm Anna, just a reader and avid follower of booktube. I'm so excited! I've been waiting for this since last year's awards show! I didn't read many of last year's nominees, but this year I'm going to read as many as possible. I'm going to skip all ongoing series, because I only read completed series, and I'm not promising to read MG and graphic works, but Adult/YA/Short as long as it's not an ongoing series, I'll read it.I found so many new booktubers last year because they were doing babbles videos, and hoping to find more this year.

Yay, I'm so excited for this! This year I have set myself a goal to join booktube and hopefully that will happen soon so I can join the conversation. Last years babble videos is what really got me into sff, so I'm very happy this is happening again. :)

Hi everyone, I'm Katie. I'm a booktuber ( www.youtube.com/katielovestoread ) who reads a lot of SFF so naturally I'm excited for this year's round of BooktubeSFF awards. I'm also intrigued by the middle grade category because it's not something I really read so it might be nice to dip my toe into.I'm not sure if the babbles are happening again this year but if they are I'm excited for them because they were a really great community aspect of last year's awards and definitely help me feel that it more invested in the awards.
Anyway I'll stop rambling now but I'm excited!

Hi, I'm Maija from Finland! My Youtube channel is Maija Reads, and @maijareads is also my twitter handle. I've been a fantasy book lover pretty much all my life, but I do read other SFF books, too.I especially loved the Babbles videos we got to do last year, so hoping for some new topics this year! As for specific books, I have my fingers crossed for The Obelisk Gate. I'm also really interested in what will make it to the middle grade category, since I don't think I read any middle-grade SFF published last year.

Agree with Maija, it would be great to have more SFF booktubers! My advice is don't over think it, just give it a bash and find out if it's for you :)
Hi everyone, I'm Alice and I loved watching all the SFF award posts, videos, etc for the past 2 years ! 99% of what I read is SFF and most of it is adult novels but I need to start working on graphics, shorts, middle grade, ya... (I do read some sff ya though)It was funny yesterday to suddently see all your announcement videos pop up at the same time as I was already following all the judges this year ! (sorry I didn't end up watching all the videos but for the babbles and everything else I will ;) )
As for the books, I havn't read enough 2016 releases yet to have an honest opinion, but I can't wait to see what pops up (except for every heart a doorway and ninefox gambit, we already know those will be nominated, don't we? ;) )
I've actually been wanting to start a channel too for like 6months but idk, I feel like my english isn't good enough, or actually, my accent isn't (I'm french, I can't pronounce an H to save my life). But if the babbles happen again I would love to participate... We will see what happens !

Some of my fav.: Saga vol. 6, Pretty Deadly vol. 2 and The Dispatcher by John Scalzi (told you I barely read anything in 2016 ;)).
Woohoo, the Booktube SFF Awards are back. I starting vlogging in part to participate in the babbles last time, which means.. it's been almost a year. I'm also pretty active on Goodreads and happy for more GR friends.
There have been so many good works from last year it's been hard to choose nominations, and I'm eager to see what gets shortlisted!

They are essentially video prompts, last year's included favourite lesser known fantasy books, where to start with science fiction, shortlist reflections and more.

Last year I tried to read more older books, but I'll have a few to toss into the ring. Hi everyone...I am Simon I am from Manchester in the North of England. I was a big SF reader in the eighties and nineties, but I drifted out of the habit of reading as life just got in the way. The exceptions being Gaiman and Pratchett I always managed to find the time to read their work.
I was inspired to get back into reading after discovering the Booktube community. I have been trying to catch up with all the great books released during my fallow years as well as adding new titles as recommended by the enthusiastic members of the Booktube community.
I didn't read a ton of books that are eligible for the awards so I couldn't nominate in every category. Hopefully the shortlist will point me in the direction of some good short stories to read on my commute.
