*****(5 stars) As a rule of thumb, I generally avoid self-help books. But, I have always held to the belief that the more we become entrenched in the sensory world the farther we are removed from our basic spirituality (think it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle). I have finished a short book on growing an attitude of gratitude. It isn't a recipe for happiness. It is a book which helps develop an awareness of the here and now, living in the present. The book is divided into stages: l. The simple joy of living from the a grateful heart 2. The gifts of gratitude 3. The attitudes of gratitude 4. The practice of gratitude and 5. The deepening journey. This is a wonderful little book.
