That's exciting news! That's what we want, that kind of notice. She may have seen your name on the lists- or perhaps she got a copy of your book in the bag- Or it could be random- we'll all take it either way!!!

My something good is that I thought I'd used up all my holidays from work until they reset in April, but my boss came up to me and said I'm going to have to take a week off at the end of March because I have some left over :D
That's a full week of writing for me, yay! I can't wait.

Love when my friends have good news!!
My good news is that Barnes and Noble committed to having a feature with my books in one of their stores definitely in May. We are working on three different stores. (for my cultural series)

Thanks and my I say YAY for Alex who got some celebrity action, and you for publishing this weekend. Yay for Kay who who has lots of extra bonus time to write and yay for Kim who published an author interview.
Can I gush? I hope you don't mind, but I am so proud of my son- this was in my email from Kirkus Review for his book The History Major.
"As the year carrries on, we’re looking back at some of our most successful and positive Indie Reviews…that’s YOU! The History Major received our coveted Recommended Review, I wanted to let you know that we have launched a special promotion to get even more attention to your book."

Wow awesome. I need to check out some of his books!

Congratulations to everyone.

Oooooh I've got one. Smashwords is going to pay me $1.36 this month that's on top of the one sale from KDP!

Amy, which is better, 0 or 1? Congratulations!!! That means somebody was interested enough to purchase your hard work. When I get one sale, I'm smiling all day. (I know, it can sound pathetic) But it's something:)
I have a question: It seems I only get downloads from US and UK. How can I get them like Alex from the other countries. It's so frustrating.
Oh--for those of you who write horror and dark fantasy, this magazine is open for submission. Just thought you'd like to know:

(Dutch flowers are THE best flowers.)
Way to go Carol! That's awesome. Congrats on everyone else's good news as well. A big congrats to Amy with your sales. I am in the same boat as you right now so understand how exciting a 1 or 2 books a month sales is. My something good is that book 4 just came back from the editor! Now time to put words with pictures and send off for a proof.
I love TULIPS- they just showed up!! I couldn't wait for you see it, Alexis!! It's FORBES!!!!! You remember I did something for Amazon and KDP- the Roundtable and the videos? The publicist from Amazon was asked by Forbes if they had someone "interesting" in my age group to interview. She wrote and asked if I wanted to do it. It took me about a second to say yes. We had a family meeting and decided it was time. I knew I would have to reveal my real life for them. So, now you all know how the books are getting into the right hands at the award shows lol. It's called networking. I am honored to be in your mother's category. Thank you.
PS I purchased a link for our web page to the radio show too! This way every time it airs, the webpage will show up. ( which will showcase all of our books) ;)
Thank you too Amy, Kay, Erica and Alex- I was nervous about revealing my private self- but I'm happy I shared this with you all, my Goodreads family.

So exciting. This is FORBES. Like are you kidding me, lol? You need to print the article out and hang it up. But that just goes to show how one little thing can lead to another and then another and then to even bigger things. Very very cool. :D
Oh I just realized something. When people google your name and you're radio show, they will see the ad for NavigatingIndieworld! Which means more exposure for other indie authors too! This calls for chocolate cake. (I was going to go buy cake anyways but this is an even better reason to indulge, lol.)
Ice cream too!!! This is a special day. I'm sharing. I always share- They will be able to see all of your books on the NI website that you created Alexis!!
Yeah I just read it, way to go Carole!!! Now you can write "If You Were Me and was 60...." could motivate others to get out be active and never give up!!!
INSPIRING!!! I just had a minute to read the full article. Carole, you are incredible. Congrats and great article.

I don't know why you'd be nervous. Only be nervous if you've previously hidden a body! Doesn't sound like you have.
I'd like to hide mine!!! (body) Ugh the picture taking, but I can't resist ice-cream.
Thanks RL thinking on it. In my life I never thought I be the poster person for seniors, hahah. I don't mind though. Thanks Erica but it took a village to build make this grandma a success. I couldn't have done it without the support of my hubby and family.
I will tell you a funny story. Once- about thirty years ago we were very up and coming. There was a meeting of all the heads of production from the studios. They have these meeting pretty often. One called me and said- You were the subject at the last meeting.
This is to show you how my mind works. She said they were discussing how successful I was.
There was a second of silence and I responded- Yeah, the kids came out just great. I'm so proud of them.
She was quiet and replied- we were talking about the business. I got red in the face and said- yeah that turned out pretty good too!"
