I have a wonderful husband, one grown daughter, two grown step daughters, a grandson, two granddaughters, and a cat who loves to watch TV.
2. What do you do for a living?
I am retired but will be attending college in August.
3. What is your favorite color?
Red Mahogany or brown
4. What destination would be your dream vacation?
camping in the forest
5. What is your favorite book genre?
mysteries
6. Who are three of your favorite authors?
Dean Koontz, Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Connelly
7. What's your favorite word?
чудесно – (chu-dyes-no) lovely, beautiful, marvelous, splendid all rolled into one word (in Russian)
8. What actress/actor should play you a film in your life story?
My husband supplied this answer - Filicity Kimble (Rosemary and Thyme character) or Kathryn Hepburn (her goofy characters). Unfortunately, I do not physically resemble either of them.

One day I was getting ready for work when I noticed a snag in my sweater. I was running late (as usual) so I quickly grabbed a crochet hook and decided to pull the snag through while I sat in the Dallas morning rush hour. My daughter had left the laundry room door open and my hands were full so I place the crochet hook in my mouth temporarily. As I reached to pull the door shut, the crochet hook hit the door jamb and therefore jabbed me in my mouth…It hurt like the dickens! However the real surprise came when I attempted to pull the crochet hook out of my mouth and I couldn’t! It had hooked into my tongue!
I tried to dislodge it but then my tongue started bleeding and I had flashes in my mind of living the rest of my life with a permanent speech impediment due to damaging my tongue so…I called the emergency room.
Of course I couldn’t talk well with a crochet hook attached to my tongue and I could “hear” the rolling of the girl’s eyes on the other end of the phone. I could tell by her manner of speech that she thought the conversation was nothing other than a prank call. (I did sound like I had had a “few too many” when I tried to talk – put a clothes pin on your tongue and try to talk and you’ll see what I mean).
When I arrived at the emergency room, the girl looked at me in disbelief and called to her associate “It’s that lady!!!” and another girl arrived at the counter to gawk at the spectacle.
A few moments later, a young doctor came out from the back, trying hard to remain professional and serious as he asked about my predicament. He also tried to finagle the crochet hook out of my tongue. Finally he determined they would have to cut it out of my tongue and so he administered numbing shots to my tongue.
As it turned out, the shots were enough to relax the muscle completely and he was able to remove the crochet hook sans scalpel.

11. Where is your favorite place to read?
in the bathtub
12. What is your favorite sport to watch or play?
I don’t really enjoy watching any sport. I like to pay football, baseball, putt-putt golf, and bean bag toss (nowadays referred to as cornhole which I think sounds more like a prison game…)
13. What was your favorite subject in school?
math - the answers are always the same, somehow comforting
14. How are you creative?
landscaping, drawing, woodburning
15. What is your favorite sandwich?
A hot corned beef from Goodman’s in Cleveland but the small diner doesn’t exist anymore.
16. What do you think is your very best feature or characteristic?
a strong work ethic
17. If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
I don’t really like large groups of people and I am not good at parties so…no party.
18. If you could paint a picture of anything, what would you paint?
My beautiful granddaughters.
19. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Albert Einstein
20. What’s your favorite comfort food?
Buffalo Wings

This is the first time in my life with only one pet and although I miss having multiple pets, there is something to be said for a less fur-covered abode. But the drawback is that my cat is totally SPOILED!
I’m a polyglot.
I’m a yankee married to a redneck.

I was pretty blown away by your favorite word. What languages do you know, speak, read?

I know Russian and German best but I also know a lot of Mandarin and Spanish, then I know some Latin, Japanese, Modern Standard Arabic and Italian.
It's difficult to practice and I usually try to find books in foreign languages to read. I read them aloud for practice.
