And the choices are Death in Kashmir, Death in Kenya & Death in Zanzibar. Tadiana owns a copy of Kashmir, I own a copy of Zanzibar. I added Kenya as well as Tadiana said that one is also a very good story.

I just had a quick look & they all have different heroines. Kashmir is the one M M kaye first wrote though.

Diane Lynn | 105 comments The "Death in..." books are all stand-alones. Zanzibar has a minor connection to her novel Trade Wind. You don't have to have read Trade Wind to enjoy Zanzibar. Kashmir is probably my favorite and that's because I visited it several times as a teenager and can say, without a doubt, Kaye 100% nailed the setting, winter and summer. Her descriptive powers are truly amazing.

Just a reminder to vote if you want to join in on the read. ATM Kashmir is winning easily.

Critterbee❇ (critterbee) | 354 comments Will do! My library had all three, so I was not particular and did not vote in the poll. Will there be a thread for each book read? See you the 15th!

Candace (cprimackqcom) This is the worst time for me so I didn't vote, but my favorite book won. Something is spooky though... one of the books I will be reading is for my "in person" book group and "out of all the gin joints" I'll be reading in happens to be Casablanca Kashmir, in The Kashmir Trap

Tadiana ✩Night Owl☽ | 1234 comments Too funny, Candace! You'll have to report back on The Kashmir Trap.

Everyone, for the general group reads like this one we're going to set up multiple threads for a better and more organized discussion. The threads for this book are all set up and ready to go. Be ready to start in three days! :)

I did not connect with The Kashmir Trap, which is unusual because I'm in this in person group because our leader chooses great books, then gives an even better in depth discussion. (It's more like a lecture, but I got used to it and have learned a lot.) For those who want to read more about the current day issues between India and Pakistan plus a dead ambassador- it says it is loosely based on a true story- I can recommend looking into it.

As for me , I'm late to the game but I ordered Kaye's Death in Kashmir which I will read as soon as it arrives. (I also ordered My Cousin Rachel- both had been on my tbr list for awhile!). I have read Katherine, so I'll have plenty of time to catch up!!

Tadiana ✩Night Owl☽ | 1234 comments Candace, one of these times I want to read My Cousin Rachel too. I'm just too busy right now to join this particular group read. Both that one and the Death in Kashmir discussion thread are still active if you're planning on joining soon.

Yes, thank you, as soon as the books arrive I'm going to dive in. Probably with MCR first and then DiK.
