Just a little bit left. I can't wait to hear what you are thinking!

Wendy (wmaresca) Part 7 was interesting. It was nice to learn that Clarke survived and how the airport pretty much came to be. I am not surprised more people did not come there to live. This book really reminds me of the Walking Dead with out the zombie's if that makes since. lol.

Elizabeth was a little wacky from the start of the time they were stuck in the airport and I guess that rubbed off on her son, thus making him the prophet. It was amazing that they survived and were living in that airport for twenty years.
The whole plane that was quarantined was a little creepy, I don't know that I would want to set inside with that outside. An entire plane with dead people on it . Yuck.

Chapter 8 and dealing with the prophet, so horrible it is amazing the thing that people believe and the people who follow them. I felt for that young boy. What a horrible ending for him. But such a hero to save Kirsten.

As we started to learn more about life post-flu, specifically at the airport, the creep factor left for me. It was really interesting to see survival instincts kick in and how people banded together to continue living. I liked how Clark started the museum as a way to preserve pre-flu paraphanalia. I also found the contrast of the school at the airport and the school at McKinley where Jeevan is quite interesting. At the airport they taught the kids all about life "before" and in VA some had the mindset that it would be too upsetting to the kids.

I also found it moving that the boy saved Kirsten's life. Sad that he didn't live long afterwards.

It's good to see some things coming together. How crazy though to see electricity in the distance after so long! What on earth?!?!

Wendy (wmaresca) I agree Krista, the electricity was wild. The way Clarke showed Kirsten the electricity knowing that she would be so awed with it and want to find out what how it was possible.

I was glad that boy saved her life, but it was so sad that he felt the way he did. Very upsetting, all because of the prophet. You wonder I know it would change the story totally but what if they had of taking him with them when they left. When he asked them if they would take him with them. Breaks my heart that maybe that could have saved him.
