wosedwew | 414 comments To introduce myself: I'm retired from the local newspaper. Started as a typographer and ended as a graphic artist.

Since I've retired, I have lots of time to read -- so going for the big time with Darcy's Library!

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 1166 comments Welcome to the Reading Challenge... Darcy's Library is an awesome goal. Good luck. You are off to a good start.

wosedwew | 414 comments I haven't figured out how to get my books listed here.

Do I need to type each one -- or is there a way to click on my "read" list to transfer here?

See at the top of this box (before you click on "post") the "add book/author)....click on that and type in one or the other...

I am adding the book I am now reading: The Luck of Fitzwilliam Darcy

When the correct one comes up just click on "add".

Hope that helps.

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 1301 comments I post all the books (ten at a time) I have read under Mr. Bennet's Library but also keep a running tab on Year-to-date so I can see my total there.

message 11: by wosedwew (new)

wosedwew | 414 comments I'm still ever so confused!

1. Do I post books here -- or is at Darcy's Library the place to post?

2. Is there a place to view my list? Or anyone else's list?

3. Is there a cumulative total showing somewhere?

Thanks for your help. This seems simple -- but I must be having a senior moment!

message 12: by Mary (new)

Mary | 709 comments Seeing as you've started this thread, you can post your books here. You might also like to post updates, once in a while,at each level,as you work through the levels.
What's important, and it's been stated before, quite often,is the enjoyment you get from reading the books and your opinion of it, whether you'd recommend it or not.
Hope this helps!

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) If you’re planning to be a heavy reader, as you appear to be, it’s probably best to follow Mary’s advice and post things here (this thread is for you to keep track, but others can see your messages) with occasional updates at whatever level you find yourself (for those who might not be following this thread but remain part of the more general conversation). And yes, we love to hear your opinions if you have time to post them! (That way, our own TBR lists can forever get longer, and longer, and longer . . .)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 1301 comments I keep updating my total list on Y-T-D and then post groups of 10 on Mr. Bennet's Library with my ratings so others can see what I read and liked so they may read my review and decide if they want to also read it. I make sure to use the line with "add book/author" in both places so it is easy for them to not only find the book but also to read my review. I make sure to number both lists of books with the same number for each book so the lists are not confusing. You can view everyone's list by simply going to those sites and clicking on that person's site Y-T-D or Mr. Bennet's Library - the latter one does not have a separation per reader but you can scroll through the pages and find lists. The same goes for all the challenge levels.

I do have those moments also. And I appreciate when those around me are patient and not annoyed or reprimanding.

Possibly the effects of not having a life????

message 34: by Mary (new)

Mary | 709 comments Wosedwew, there's no law (that I'm aware of) that states that we must all be out till the early hours of the morning living/partying!!
Some of us are party animals while others are bookworms. There's a place for all of us and as long as we're happy in out little corner of the universe, doing our thing, that's all that matters.
