David | 4 comments Looking for name of a book I read a couple years ago.
Unique points are:
- protagonist is an airport director who gets a call for a strange craft to land.
Everything else is pretty typical for genre.
Said craft has someone who is from an alien race who wants to gear up human race to fight bad aliens. Good alien fly's off and leaves him to it.
Protagonist goes about recruiting people in secret to save earth.
They establish a base on the moon building stuff then reveal themselves to earth while saving the ISS crew during an accident.
Thanks for any help in finding this book.

A long shot - Lost in The Fog by Martin L. Shoemaker?

David, what year did you read this book? I find "a couple of years ago" means different things in this large group.

David, Kris is referring to the fact that with such a wide age range in this group people tend to use "a couple years ago" to mean a very different things depending on their own standards. Someone in their 70s might use that for books read 20 years ago but someone much younger could say the same thing for a book from 2 years ago. If you can give a more specific definition even if it's just "I read it between 5 and 10 years back" or whatever, it can make a big difference in getting the book solved, since it rules out books that were published after the correct time-frame.

David | 4 comments Sorry, i take your point. To me a couple has always meant the number 2.... so i mean around 2 years ago.
