Kiran Prasad (kiranprasad) | 2 comments Fellow authors, I want to warn you about a scam involving my book "A Mindful Move: Feel at home again." It is my first book and I was shocked today to find it featured in two duplicate YouTube videos that I did not give permission for. They have used my full Amazon cover in their promotion. The videos are under two different domain and profile names. They claim to be a book club offering a one month free trial to people to download books for free.

I am fully publishing and distributing my book through Kindle, so I called them. The support rep told me when he clicked on the YouTube link to download, there was no content there (what a relief for me!) He said they are probably after people's emails this way. Then he suggested I make a copyright complaint to YouTube and could help me no further.

I tried to post a copyright infringement message under those YouTube videos warning them to remove them, but my comment does not remain public, it disappears.

Have any of you experienced such copyright infringement or scams involving your books? How did you handle it?
