Pat Byrnes | 9 comments Hi Carole –

I had an email conversation with your lovely son Mr. Mike yesterday. He stated that your Indie blog on GoodReads needs reviewers. I’m always up to trying new authors and Mike has been very gracious in allowing me to read his work, so I thought I would try to help anyway I can to others. I’ve Beta read four novels for an author that I connected with after a giveaway on GR. It was a fun experience. My reading taste might be limited. I’m mainly into Thriller and Mystery, with a little spiritual thrown in. I just finished the Shack and enjoyed it very much. Mike’s writing to me is varied, but I always find something thought provoking in his work.

Since we are friends on GR, you will be able to see what I mainly read. If I can help, just let me know. I didn’t know whether to contact you directly or just post something. I guess I chose directly…  My policy for Indie Authors is that I will post on any site that I can. Amazon, BN, GR, TheReadingRoom. If I don’t connect with the novel, I will not leave a comment. My feeling is that the author is allowing me to try something new and if I don’t connect, it’s not fair to the author. I typically make it through a novel, but I’ve decided if I am having troubles at 25% in, I should just give up. It typically takes me about a week for a standard novel, I’m not a speedy reader and like to enjoy the reading.

If I can help out, just let me know.

Nathan Bush | 88 comments Hello Pat, I have a Christian crime novel that is the first book of a series. There is a preview up on Goodreads if you would care to see what it's about.

Written in Blood (The Foley Chronicles Files from the 8th District Book 1) by Nathan Bush

Thanks for your consideration.

I'd be willing to give the novel a try. It sounds interesting. Since I'm not up to speed, you will have to let me know what the next step will be.

At this time, I'm going to have to say no. Where I'm at in life right now, I use reading as an escape from the real world.

Take Care...

Dante Carlisle | 9 comments Hello Pat,
I am just now beginning to look for reviews for a crime thriller novel from the other side of the blue wall. If you're interested in crime fiction from a different standpoint as well as the law's side, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Regret Nothing

Let me know if it's something you're interested in.

That's great. I don't have any print copies left to give out, but I can email you a PDF copy, or if you have an ereader, it will be free to download March 31 - April 2. Send me a PM to let me know which you prefer.

I would be willing to give the novel a try. Sometimes with this genre I don't do well with, but the storyline seems interesting. If I don't connect, I don't leave a bad review. I have three novels ahead of yours, so it will be about a month out before I complete.

Carrie D. Miller (carriedmiller) | 89 comments Hello, Pat. You are so kind to make this offer!

I'd love for you to give my book, The White Raven, a read if you find the description interesting. It's contemporary fantasy/magical realism with a strong female protagonist and written mostly in 1st person but with a few chapters in limited 3rd person. There's also some chapters from the perspective of an animal, the white raven.

Thanks in advance for considering!

Carrie

I read a little in this genre, so I'll give it a try. I read the description, it appears to an adventure I would like to read. I need to take a break from my normal reading.

Angel | 723 comments Hi, Pat! My novel Weeping Wellmystery/thriller involving an Irish Catholic family, so the spiritual is there, but that's just the beginning. But it's also multiracial, multicultural, romance, international crime mystery, action, a bit of humor, intrigue, supernatural, coming of age set in 1989-2007 involving locations such Mississippi, mostly the UK, Chicago and Japan. It has several plot twists and turns and subplots. It is part of a series, (sequel will be out soon) but it's written as a standalone. Pm me if this interests you.

L.E. Doggett (ldwriter2) | 53 comments Is this just for new books?

I will be having a new one coming out in a couple of months that will be needing some reviews. A 72,000 steampunk novel set in our time. It tells the story of Kara Strongear a young woman Courier. Couriers carry almost anything small enough to fit in a special pouch: mail, contracts, blueprints, gems, cash, parts for anything mechanical, etc.. They can go across town or across the nations or to other countries. Her father is a gentleman thief who taught Kara how to defend herself, use various weapons, to be sneaky and to run if need be. Yet she has a lot to learn and maturing to do.
