Werner We all know that small presses provide a venue for beginning and un-agented contemporary writers to be published. But some of them also lead the way in providing other services to the reading community. "New pulp" publisher Pro Se Press, for instance, through its Altus Press imprint, is bringing worthy fiction from the heyday of the early modern pulp era back into print. Some of these works were long unavailable to modern readers except in the yellowed and crumbling editions of decades-old magazines (many of which were rare collector's items).

An Altus Press publication I heartily recommend is The Complete Adventures of Senorita Scorpion by Les Savage Jr., collected in two volumes. The Goodreads database lacks a common entry for both volumes, so they're listed separately: The Complete Adventures Of Senorita Scorpion Volume 1 by Les Savage Jr. and Complete Adventures of Senorita Scorpion, Volume 2 by Les Savage Jr. .
