✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 2602 comments I'm rereading this series as a new book came out and I wanted to read it again from the beginning. It is just as fantastic as it was the first time I read it.
It's rare that you find a book, let alone a series that pulls you in so completely. When I'm reading it, I can imagine I'm in 13th Century Wales along with the main characters. In fact the 13th Century parts feel almost more real than the 21st Century sections!

The After Cilmeri series has time travel, history, intrigue and excitement, along with believable characters and fantastic descriptions. In 12 books, the series hasn't lost momentum yet. There is some violence, generally sword fights and battles. There is also some romance but it's subtle and weaved in well, rather than being the complete focus of the story.

✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 2602 comments The first book (book 0.5 in the series), Daughter of Time Amazon UK Link
tells the story of Meg and her daughter Anna, who after a freak accident, find themselves in 13th Century Wales, in the company of Prince Llywelyn of Wales.
In the second book, Footsteps in Time Amazon UK link which is officially book 1 in the series, we meet Anna again, and her brother David. In history, Prince Llywelyn died in December 1282 at Cilmeri. But what if he didn't? And what would then happen to Wales, England and the two teenagers who accidentally saved his life?

The After Cilmeri series continues from that point, across 10 more books (at the moment, I don't know if there will be more yet!) and just keeps getting better as it goes.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 419 comments I loved this series. Twelfth century time travel is my fave genre and I've read everything in this series. I now eagerly await the next book.
