Mohitha | 37 comments hi, iam all set to begin.

message 2: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Hi.

Any books you suggest?

message 3: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments I am now reading The A.B.C. Murders and Fangirl. I got The Palace of Illusions last week so that is under next TBR. You like Dan brown? I like to read Angels & Demons or Digital Fortress. I dont like cheap romance, distopians or tragic non fictions. Love thrillers. What are your favorites?

message 4: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Palace of illusion has been ok my to read list for some time. So that's ok.

Other than that I am also interested in the following books, common in our to read:
midnight's children
One hundred years of solitude
When breath becomes air
Lord of the flies.

I am not into Dan brown. So sorry on that part. I have chosen 4 books so that there is enough variation.

message 5: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments have read One hundred years of solitude, and i quit. ITs lagging and boring. Lord of the flies, i've started it. Its about some children in a deserted island. I didnt liked it then. So again i quit. Midnight's children i ve heard it. And also When breath becomes air. A memoir. I think i like to read When breath becomes air and the palace of illusions. How about reading both?

message 6: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Sure. Which one do you wanna start? When do you wanna start?

I thought you were interested since it's in your to read list. It's fine with me if you would like to read some other book.

Mohitha | 37 comments i finished when breath becomes air :) sorry to be fast its was a good book and only had 200 pages.

message 17: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments @phani i think i need more of your suggestion for books. its gud.

message 18: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments I will take time to read this book. I don't think I can read this one in single sitting.

I know its BR and we should read same books according to the rule. But as someone said "Rules are meant to be broken" and so I will break that rule if you become my accomplice :)

Since you asked me for suggestion, here we go:
The little prince -- very short book. It is very close to my heart.(You can find this online easily. Try to read the colored version.)
The book thief -- The only book for which i couldn't stop my tears. Beautifully written and amazing one.

message 19: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments i hav read the book thief upto half. it was depressing. ill continue reading it after sometime

message 20: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Yea its depressing. But it is beautiful for the same reason. When you read last time, did you read till the point where she gets the gift? It also happens some where in middle.

message 21: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments i read wen a man comes to their home with mein khampf.

message 22: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Try to read bit more... It gets really good.

message 23: by Sindhu (new)

Sindhu G (sindhug) | 11 comments I can say yes Book thief may be depressing at the start, when you keep moving on the through the pages the depressing feeling will vanish and you will never want to keep the book down. you eventually fall in love with this book and that will remain even after finishing the book.

message 24: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments then as u guys say ill continue reading.

Rules? What rules? As Amir from Kite Runner said: "The rules were simple. No rules. Fly your kite." :P :P

I see that you liked that. Do read my review also of this book.

I am also nearly done with "when breath becomes air".

Which book do wanna read next?

message 28: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments let me look ur review. i lik reading reviews. a bit hectic now yaar. colleg works. but iam looking forward to read
the art of being normal
those pricey thakur girls
the light between the oceans
the mysterious affairs at styles

message 29: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments the art of being normal looks interesting.

I will be busy for a week. I can read seriously after that. But you can go ahead and i ll catch u later.

Do you read manga?

message 30: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments Havent tried yet. Suggest some please. Iam currently reading the kite runner. Will finish it soon. Then ill start art of being normal. We will discuss wen we both finish.

message 31: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Its ok.

For reco's of manga, can u tell me:
Do you like action movies?
Or good fighting sequences? (good means with nice strategy with unnecessary blood bath)
Or do u prefer non violent and more of a romantic kind?

Some of my favorite manga have fights and i am not sure if you are ok with them. If you are not i will suggest others.

Since you like mystery you can try deathnote. Death note will be the most intense story you have ever read/watched. Personally I feel it is a great manga(comic)/anime(cartoon) and most of the people just watch that and don't watch others, which i don't like. Because there are many amazing stories which are not as intense and people don't try them.

message 32: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 37 comments ok so ill try death note soon. :)

message 33: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments Hi. What are you upto?

I ll start reading the art of being normal in a day or two.

message 34: by Phani (new)

Phani Raj (phaniraj) | 288 comments I am half way through the art of being normal. Its pretty interesting. Thanks for the reco
