Josh Russell | 3 comments Main character finds out he has a talent for magic pursues that with training from current best magician. Eventually journeys into the magical world with his mates. Primary form of magic is runes. When he discovered that he had magical talent he was at a party where he witnessed the magician guy preform magic and then the mc fainted, due to the something effect (began with t). MC has three close mates two girls (sisters) and a guy.

Hey guys, I read this years ago in High School. Any help would be appreciated. If I remember any more details I'll post them.

Josh, who lives on the island and in the magical world? Are there fantastical creatures such as dragons

Where do the hero and his friends live - England/New Zealand/U.S., region, big city/small town?

Josh Russell | 3 comments So the Island is the main setting. Think Avalon esque. There is a door into the magical realm in which there are fantastical creatures, but initially they only encounter other humans from memory.
