I'd like to hear what others think of Matt. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Or a little of both? Or is he just so messed up even he doesn't know?

Matt is difficult to understand, indeed. Personally, I don't like him.
Matt is such a complex character, I can't decide if I like him or not. I always get the feeling we're going to find out something about him that makes him pure evil, but it hasn't been revealed yet.

I had a hard time *disliking* Matt, but I feel like that's true of most sociopaths. They're our best friends until suddenly our neighbor's corpse is hanging from the signpost.
That said, I think Matt is going to be interesting to hear more about in the upcoming novels.
