There are a lot of overlaps between the different challenges it may get a little confusing. I really hope I can keep them straight.

Where are you up to with The Dresden Files Tnkw01?

Loved the Codex Alera series, but decided to not read Dresden. I'm not a huge urban fantasy fan.

Can't help it. I think Harry Dresden is great.

Well, l was able to finally get one on this challenge when I completed The Final Empire

Harry Dresden is great.

This challenge is looking very organized.

LOL, I think I bit off more then I could chew with the three challenges I made this year. I think I'm going to do my best this year and try to reel it back considerable next year.

Just give up one or two of the challenges. I know I overchallenged myself this year as well and I am giving up on my challenge to read all books by L.E. Modesitt.

I may start to concentrate on the ABC challenge when I finish reading a couple of ones I really want to get to first.

I only have a couple left on that which I'll read by years end by design if not a happy accident.

Started The Codex Alera by finishing Furies of Calderon.

Good it is too. Read on.

I will, I promise. But I've got to finish the ABC first. Next year I won't try to bite off so much. Probably, two instead of three and less books.

I just continue them on, I really should do the a-z.

Actually looking at your list, you'd be better finishing the three series that only have a book left.

Just started reading it and it starts like so many other fantasies with a young individual being sent somewhere to grow into the hero he was meant to be. However, it is very well written and I am enjoying it immensely.

Started the Ravens Shadow Series with Blood Song. Looks like a great series.

So, I'm reading Magician before I start the Empire Series.

Finished Magician. On to Daughter of the Empire.

Gave it 5 stars. What a great story. I hate to do this but since I just finished The Game of Thrones I couldn't help but do some comparisons. The political intrigue in Daughter of the Empire was incredible and was even better then The Game of Thrones. If you like a story where one uses one's wits to out smart the opposition then you'll love this story. The strong Asian influence was also very satisfying. Finally, Mara is one of my favorite female fantasy characters now. Her pose, inner strength, wisdom and wit, and her desire to come out on top makes her great and I can't help but love her.

Oooh, that sounds right up my alley.

While I liked Magician & the other books in the Rift War, I thought Feist & Wurts together doing the Empire trilogy were far better. That seemed to have drawn out the best in both.

I agree whole heartedly.

I love the Empire trilogy and also enjoyed the way that they linked together. I think that the original two trilogies were far better than the later books. Mara is an amazing heroine and winning by wits rather than violence makes a pleasant change from many other epic fantasy books

I do love Mara.

Finished Servant of the Empire, Great book, great series. Gave it a 4.5 stars. Going to work on a couple books for my other challenges and then I'll finish the trilogy with Mistress of the Empire.

It’s a fabulous trilogy. I’d like to reread Feist and weave Empire in following the chronology. This is where I found Janny Wurts :)
