John Green's book The Fault in Our Stars was turned into a movie and officially came out Friday June, 6. What do you think about the movie?

Ahh! It was very well done! Followed the book pretty well! I thought it was pretty good, but i would probably only give it a 3.5/5!

wow... that was beautiful... sorry, I would have written this last night but I wasn't able to function after seeing the movie - I went through a pack of tissues (half of them I went through after I left the theater) I think that director Josh Booone did an absolutely WONDERFUL job with this movie-to-book adaption and I once again fell head-over-heels in love with this story. It reminded me of how I felt after reading the book; lost and stumbling around for days; and it is literally the most impactful movie I have seen. I literally cannot wait to see it again and although a few scenes were in the wrong setting, and a few quotes weren't word for word, I thought this is one of the best adaptions of a book ever! I would give it a 4.9/5 only because I'm saving my 5/5 for the actual book (sorry but books are always better than movies although if any movie was even close to catching up this would be it) The casting was amazing, I fell in love with the story(again), and I cried a river of tears to drown in. I starting crying at the first word but most of my tears were shed at the gas station scene, pre-funeral, funeral, when Augustus told her he lit up like a christmas tree and the quote, "Augustus Waters died 8 days later..." Now I am crying again. My friend and I were the absolute biggest fangirls you could EVER see - we squealed ever time some important quote was said and whispered quotes to each other right before the character said them and cried our eyes out every time Augustus spoke and I think the girls next to us were getting really annoyed but oh well, I guess that's the life of a fangirl for you - sorry I'm rambling but I just can't find enough words to express my love for this beautiful, wonderful, amazing, perfect, absolutely PERFECTALICIOUSLYAMAZINGLISHLYWONDERFUL, powerful, impactful, and (once again) perfect movie. Please - if you have not watched it yet, do yourself a favor and buy some tickets to see it - it has changed my life. I have SO MUCH more to say but I'll leave it at this hoping you get the idea...

Oh - and I forgot to mention that I also cried my eyes out during the letter and basically every scene after Amsterdam with the exception of the egging(which was actually one of my FAVORITE scenes because I could actually lighten up my crying long enough to see the screen) THIS MOVIE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I thought the movie was better than the book. I'm not a huge john green fan, but I still read his books and enjoy them while I'm reading them. Though, this book wasn't one if my favorite. A lot of the things I didn't like about the book were avoided in the movie. So I was quite happy with that
