What's going on in your life? Anything exciting, challenging?

Challenging.My stepmom is in hospital and I am scared she won't be coming out.She has gone from normal to deteriorated in a matter of 10 days. ALL her lab work,scans,xrays and such are absolutely PERFECT. Very scary.Haven't been reading,obviously.I hope someone will post some happy news,I can use it.

I apologize, I'm even busier now than before I retired:

I volunteer at Descanso Gardens 2-3 days a week, and I walk there 2-3 days more w/ my camera.

I am a school & adult tour docent and the Engineer on the mini train!

I've been in several shows, one a 2month solo show....

So, I am sort of reading again, but not so much,as I haven't found too much of interest to read.

I did, however, get to watch the entire Downton Abbey series & read a book about its creation, which I enjoyed very much!

But I do miss being here!

I am eager,our library is starting the annual summer book reading club on Monday. Can't wait.Also Our library is having a biblophile meeting in 2 weeks and I plan to go.You get to talk abt favorite books! I have never done this before!

I also signed up for my library's Summer Reading Program ... in the past it was for kids only, but now they've expanded it to adults.

They have always had the same theme for adults and kids here.Just kid level for the kids. I am so glad our library does this every year.They do a smaller version in winter,but somehow,I don't sign up for that one. It is fun isn't it? It gets me reading instead of watching tv. In 19 years of doing this, I have YET to win a prize. But I keep trying,but it is for the fun of reading.This year we get extra tickets for book reviews and borrowing movies!

I already volunteer - on the boards of a local theater company and my library. Might take on a project for my University alma mater, or a local girl's school as a mentor....
