Nominations for the April/May 2017 group read are now open: This month's theme: Women crime writers

Babs, from the rules at the top of the thread:
"As usual, this isn't the place for authors to nominate their own books"

That is the 5th book in the series. The first book in the Zoe Chambers series is Circle of Influence. It's a great series!

JS Bell also nominated her own book.

I'd missed that, sorry Babs, wasn't picking on you!

With apologies, we have a long-standing policy about not nominating your own book. It's absolutely nothing personal - it's just how we do things.

No Way Home, by Annette Dashofy. Edited : oops - this is #5 in the series. Would you care to nominate the first book? Thanks!

Congrats on your book, but as noted earlier and echoed in the thread, nominating one's own book is not our standard practice.

I'm just going to do book/title link (there's nothing wrong with your way, just easier for me to read later when I post a recap): The Other Widow, by Susan H. Crawford

Great book! Sadly we've already done that and we have a McDermid nomination on the table. Would you care to try a different one??

This one sounds really good in the Slaughter/Gardner/Reich line of books. Already got me hooked. Hmm, guess my nominations won't make it again, but who cares.

Never mind, hopefully we get a bobby-dazzler and still can read our own nominations, even if they have to linger on the to-read list a bit longer.
I will be back with a recap shortly. I just got back from the gym & am reading through my notifications while eating a well-deserved breakfast. So please bear with me for just a bit! Thanks.

As usual, this isn't the place for authors to nominate their own books, and please remember that if you nominate it and it wins, you are the discussion leader. If you don't want to take an active role as the moderator, then please please please don't nominate a book.
That's about it, I think, so let the nominating begin!!
