Grady Brown | 14 comments Cyborgs have always been an integral part of Star Wars lore such as Darth Vader and General Grievous. I thought it was a great idea to include a new cyborg villain who had features we didn't see in the new Canon. I thought it was interesting that Count Denetrius Vidian had his brain linked to his surveillance network. In addition, Vidian also possessed cortosis in his armor chassis, which could have given him ideal lightsaber protection because cortosis has been known to short out lightsabers on contact in Legends. Also, like several cyborgs in Star Wars, Vidian had a dual identity: one that existed before be became a cyborg and one that represented him as a cyborg. This was similar to Darth Vader's mentality as both Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker.

Joshua (mrdiplomac) | 4 comments Having only Canon material and A New Dawn being my first Star Wars Novel I have ever read I had taken a real liking. So much that my gamer tag on Xbox is Count Vidian. A little much I know. But I really hope to get a better back story one day.
