Welcome, readers!

Thank you for your interest in the group.
We are all literature-loving folks who just wanna keep on reading... no matter how long it takes to finish.

Introduce yourself below and tell us a little about what kinds of books you love, or your favorite reading spot, or your reading style... Anything bookish. Anything at all! ^__^

Hello all!
I'm Brittany. I also go by Brisni, so take your pick. ;)

I love reading! I am especially fond of classics and historical fiction. But I love a good dose of fantasy. One is never to old to keep reading fairy tales.

I'm a book turtle, you could say. I read slow and steady. I love to immerse myself into the story, allowing myself to really hear the characters' voices and follow the flow and pace of the book I'm reading. I think slow reading can be an active choice... One that honors the efforts of the author by savoring a story they've spent so much time creating.

Katie • forevermorepages (forevermorepages) | 3 comments Hey guys! I wouldn't honestly say I read slowly, but I've been so busy with school and AP classes that I haven't gotten as much reading done.

My favorite genre is fantasy. I've been a HUGE Harry Potter fan for ages and my other two favorite series are The Mortal Instruments and The Raven Cycle! When I'm reading, my priority is character development. If a book doesn't have amazing and well-developed characters, I won't enjoy it.

And thank you for the invite! <3

Dash (dashdidntdoit) | 4 comments There's something that has been bothering me, do you pronounce your name Bri-tany or Britney? :)

Hi all,

I'm Dashie! I'm Brit's Inej to her Nina. I love fantasy more than anything else! Especially the old school fantasy with good old magic and wizards and witches and heroes making journeys.

I am a super picky reader in my old age and if I do love a book will take a very long time to finish it.

Thank you for having me

Aisha (aisha_i) Hi everyone! My name is Aisha and I am 27. I loooovee reading. But, since starting at my current job (I've been here a year), I have been reading soooo slow. My brain is just mush by the time I get home, and just don't have the brain power to read as fast as I used to. I read just about anything besides romance. If anyone wants to buddy read something, feel free to contact me! (I join a buddy reads group but its like everyone reads a booko a day, which is just impossible for me)

Linda Pérez (misslindabennet) Hey, everyone! My name is Linda and I'm 19.
I usually read pretty fast, but I'm trying to focus more on studies and university so I can go as an exchange student to Spain, so my reading speed is slower now.

My favorite genre is, by far, mystery, but I usually read anything that calls my attention. Some of my favorite books (and in no particular order) are: Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis, The Blood of Eden trilogy by Julie Kagawa, and any of the original Sherlock Holmes stories by sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Nice to meet y'all, and thanks for the invite! :)

Jenny | 1 comments I just learned how to officially join this group and I'm not sure if it's too late as I'm dusting off the cobwebs with this comment.

My name is Jenny, I'm 27.

I am a fairly quick reader but lately I've been learning to slow down. I'd love to write more and somehow I feel reading more purposefully, or perhaps even consciously, than normal may aide in my own writing.

My favorite genre is Nonfiction, Memoir. The bleaker the better. Fictional memoir is a close second. I also love historical fantasy (see the Sevenwaters Trilogy)

My favorite reading spot used to be a tree, now it's wherever, whenever. I can read over distractions eventually but the ideal spot wouldn't have any.

TTFN!
