A Time to Kill
question
Reading Order

I was told that one should read John Grisham's, "A Time to Kill" before reading "Sycamore Row". Is that a general consensus?
Yes, I have not ready "Sycamore Row" yet but it is based on Jake Brigance and his law career just as "A Time to Kill" . So if your going to read "Sycamore Row" I would definitely suggest reading the first one because its really good. But i'm sure you could read "Sycamore Row" and understand the whole book without reading "A Time to Kill".
I read Sycamore Row first, just read A Time to Kill, and wasn't bothered by doing that. If you haven't read either, reading in order would be ideal.

Good to know! I always liked the character, Jake Brigance, and will definitely put Sycamore Row on my Must Read List.
