Hi everyone!!

Ora (oeamis) Introduction:
1 husband, 2 cats, 3 boys and a homemaker.

I will read just about anything to make it fit for a challenge even though I prefer my books to have a HEA. I am glad that page counts matter since I have been putting off several longer books in order to read shorter ones for a current challenge.

Happy to see familiar faces too!!!

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1723 comments Aloha everyone! I'm Lauri from Hawaii & I'm really excited to be here. I never played this one before, but am looking forward to it. I am a huge nerd! Love Star Wars -- especially the 3 originals. I've seen them all, but was quite saddened by Rogue One! I usually read 5-12 books simultaneously, but don't know why. I do not buy books anymore or use an e-reader. I just visit my friendly neighborhood library every Monday afternoon & come away with shopping bags filled with books -- we have no limit!

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments Hi all I'm Alison. I live in Scotland with a small black and furry monster (cat) called Harley.

I read pretty much anything and am a total team challenge addict. It's great to meet you all.

ChrisP Poyner | 67 comments Hello,
Married
Star Wars Geek (I have read most of the cannon out )
Love to read most things and expose myself to different styles except with harlequin romance someone else will have to pick up my slack:)
Please forgive my punctuation:)
Can be chatty at times will work with strategy when I can.

message 11: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Chatty is a good thing.
I have done several group challenges and definitely prefer chatty team mates.

I haven't read any of the Star Wars books. Sad to say in the past year I realized there were more than 6 books written. I still need to see Rogue One. My husband and I were suppose to see when it was in theaters but never happened and he watched it on the plane when he was on a business trip.

My only plan right now for books is reading/listening to longer book books. I have a couple dystopian and high fantasy books I really want to read and have been slowly working through The Dresden Files. Have to say I enjoyed reading it but have fallen in love with series after listening to James Marsters bring Harry to life.

message 12: by Sreshtha (new)

Sreshtha Basu | 38 comments Hi! I'm Sreshtha. I'm from India. And.. I'm a student. I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies but, I'll hopefully watch it soon. Maybe being a member of this group will finally push me to watch it..
I love reading challenges because it motivates me to read more.. And I'm excited to be a part of this. I'm going through a bit of a reading slump now. But, hopefully, things will turn around once this challenge begins.

message 13: by Alison (new)

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments I went through a phase last year of listening to the Dresden files. James Marsters is brilliant on the audio. I could probably listen to him reading the phone book :) I think so far I've listened to the first 4.

Haven't read any of the Star Wars books but I do love the films. Have seen them all with the exception of Rogue One.

The series Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan is my all time favorite fantasy series. It is not even close to any thing else I have read. The series is over with and characters feel like good friends I know I will never see again. The Eye of the World is book one.

I watched Rogue One last night I was unable to see it in the theaters also. It is really good but I'm a child of the 80's, Empire will always be favorite.

I have gotten to book 5. I'm waiting to see if my library is willing to purchase Blood Rites. I may have to break down and buy it. I love spending a lot of money on books so my husband has to keep me on a book budget otherwise it would get out of control.

I will check them out. I am considering listening to Red Rising series again. Pierce Brown has a spin off series he is working on. I'm not quite sure when the first book is coming out. The book I really can't wait for is A Court of Wings and Ruin.

message 17: by Ora (last edited Apr 20, 2017 06:43AM) (new)

Ora (oeamis) Oh, I'm a child of the '80s too. It's hard to chose which one of the original three are my favorite. There are things that I love in each movie.

message 18: by Alison (new)

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments Return of the Jedi is actually the first film I remember going to the cinema to see so I think it's probably my favourite even though Empire is the better film.

ROJ is the first I saw also. Probably my first movie I saw in the theaters that I can remember.

message 20: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Now I feel old. I remember seeing all of the Stars Wars in the theater.

I am an accountant. Accountant Definition "Someone who does precision guess work based on unreliable data provided by those who have questionable knowledge." See also magician or wizard.:) That is not boring:)

That definition is spot on! But I just meant I was boring, not the accounting part!

1 husband/0 kids/1 spoiled rotten pit bull. I love reading and movies. My favorite genre for both is horror, but will watch/read anything. I usually have 2-3 books going at a time, totally mood reader here. I have not read any of the the Star Wars books, but I've seen all the movies including Rogue One in theater (I loved K-2SO). I am a registered nurse and I work in the ER. I have played numerous challenges before and am exited to start another one!!

Hi all!

I'm Lori. I live in London but I'm orginally from Glasgow. No husband/no kids/no pets. I'm also in a nerdy job as I'm a Business Analyst and spend a lot of time looking at data and spreadsheets.

I read most genres but like Chris I'm not a romance fan. My current personal challenge is to actually finish the series I start. Usually I read a book or 2 and then leave them until I forget the details so I reread them but then never get much further on. Chris - I swear I've read The Eye of the World 4 times now but have never read further than book 3.

I've seen Episode 1 to 6 of Star Wars - the original 3 more than once. But I haven't yet watched either of the new ones. In the Zimbio quiz I got Han Solo which I was pleased with. I did a quiz for the original films and although, believe me, my answers were not all about blowing up planets and heavy breathing I got Darth Vader.

This will be my 3rd Tower Teams challenge and I'm looking forward to it. They've all been great fun. Although one really weird bit was in the one where the team names were colours and one of my fellow team members was upset she didn't get her favourite colour and kept asking if she could donate some of her points to that team. Eventually she managed to get transferred over and seemed much happier.

Shelf: Tower Teams

Ora (oeamis) I got it linked for you.

when you link a shelf < a href = insert copy of page>insert name you want< / a>

I put extra spaces so you could see it. Remove the extra space between < a and the spaces between the =, and at the end remove the space between < / a >

I didn't know there were threads set up yet. I'm unsure if there is a specific order.
