When it comes to relationships, Remy doesn't mess around. After all, she's learned all there is to know from her mother, who's currently working on husband number five. But there's something about Dexter that seems to defy all of Remy's rules. He certainly doesn't seem like Mr. Right. For some reason, however, Remy just can't seem to shake him. Could it be that Remy's starting to understand what those love songs are all about?

Yeah, I think it could happened at some point. I have to admit, I don't like him as much as I have a feeling I would have to.

I am currently reading chapter 3 because I was reading and finished another book. Will read for few hours until the world cup starts... today my country will play vs Brazil...

(view spoiler)[ahh so Remy had a bad memories which explains some of her negativity. Dexter being there for her at the bar was sweet but I think his initial way of introducing himself and sticking himself in front of her was not that charming!

End of chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ yeah, Dexter earned a + from me to ''save'' our protagonist in the bar. by the end of the book I'd might start to like him... I like Jess, she reminds me of me (God, that sounds egocentric!) , it is not that I don't like Jennifer but I get why Remy doesn't like her because she feels like Jennifer changed her brother but if you look at it from the third's person perspective the change was good for him. I don't think I'll like Remy by the end of the book.(view spoiler)[I guess she's got these negative views about relationships to deal with but the things she does annoy me and she's always bitter. Poor Dexter overhead her speech about him being a summer fling. Maybe Remy will become more tolerable though... (hide spoiler)]

yeah, I'm too not in the music. maybe if i'd listen to some rock band I would enjoy it more but the thing is, i can read only in death silence. i alway have isolators in my ears while reading.

Noella I don't think I'll be able to keep a track with you anymore because I got uninvited gusets (my aunt and her grandchildren) and they will stay for the weekend so guess who will watch the kids? me.
so I will read when I'll be able but can''t promise anything. at the moment I am a slow reader without much time to read.

Ending thoughts (view spoiler)[Sucks that Don cheated. I hated when Remy blew up in Dexter's face about the picture. Like her friends said and I realised earlier, he never visited her house or knew about her housekeeper! The revenge scene was awesome though.

This read was alright but I didn't feel like I liked any of the characters and there was a huge cast... Sad to say that I'm glad I didn't read this before Just Listen and the Truth about Forever (I loved those!) because I would have been put off from reading anything else by Sarah Dessen for a while. I have to agree about being not too into music in this book because (view spoiler)[I can't imagine the Potato song being popular with the crowd even if it did have a cool tune. It sounds idiotic so I don't know why Ted was so adamant people would like this 'original' song over covers. (hide spoiler)]

i just spoiled myself by viewing your spoiler. but only the first sentence... i am free now so I'm about to read as long as I can. I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it today but tomorrow i will for sure. so when I'm done I'll come read your posts and write my thoughts.

Gosh, I'm still reading it! I really hope I'll finish it today 'cause I have one more buddy reading starting today.

I still haven't been able to get this one from my library, but I hope to soon. I am the first one on the hold list so I should be getting it soon. Sorry it's taking so long!

I just got the book so once I finish my current read I will be hopping onto this one! :D

43% - (view spoiler)[This is pretty cute so far. I like Dexter's character. I'm a little iffy about Remy though. She is too strict, she should loosen up a bit. I wonder how the end of the summer is going to effect them. (hide spoiler)]

I liked Remy. I know some people like.her in my real life so she was very believable to me.

67% - (view spoiler)[ Awww! That was such a sad break up. She has to stop thinking everything works out the way it did for her mom. Dexter is right, love is actually really great. I need them to get back together. Dexter is awesome! (hide spoiler)]

Final Thoughts - (view spoiler)[Wow I was crying in the ending, it's funny because it used to take a lot to make me cry but I have been very emotional while reading books lately. Anyway, I thought this was a great book, debating whether or not to give it five stars, I'm pretty sure it's going to get 4 stars though. I really liked it, I wish she was with Dexter a little sooner though and I wanted to see more of them in the ending, maybe her visiting her? But I really wanted him in that scene. (hide spoiler)]

We would like to retart reading this book on the 16th of June!

I'm not really attached to any of the characters.. I think Remy has a shitty group of friends and the whole thing with Dexter happened way too fast. She doesn't even seem to like him yet she's spending all this time with him.. Girl needs to take control of her life! (hide spoiler)]

Through Chapter 11 and pretty darn bored... Something exciting needs to happen like, NOW

I'm glad this book only took me a day to read.. It wasn't the greatest but I'm glad to have read it. Not my favorite Sarah Dessen book for sure.. I gave it a 2.7 rating.

(view spoiler)[ The love story felt rushed in the beginning and then it came to a screeching halt. Then all of a sudden it was back on and raging full force... I just didn't get it. I didn't connect with the characters and didn't see why Dexter & Remy worked out.. (hide spoiler)]
