There was something tragic about Solemn and his spiritual journey. Was his death predestined?

Angela | 155 comments There was definitely a tragic aspect to Solemn, especially when you could sense the connection he had with Sam Winter Moon and how much he missed that influence on his life. I didn't think his ending was predestined. I guess I held out hope for a different ending.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I did not expect him to die. At worst I thought he'd be exonerated in the eyes of the law though maybe not in the eyes of all the people. I thought he might have to leave town to start fresh somewhere else, like Glory/Cordelia.

I knew he was going to die when he left jail and told Cork he'd lost what he'd previously found. He just seemed spiritually and emotionally empty, like he'd given up.
