Hi, I'm Jacqui and I run White Diamond Editing. I'm a fully qualified editor and proofreader, with over ten years experience working with both publishers and authors alike on all genres of fiction.

I offer editing, proofreading, formatting and cover design for your novel, as well as advice and guidance on self-publishing and traditional.

For many, the term ‘proofreading’ is an all-encompassing one that includes everything from initial manuscript evaluation to rewriting, plot development to checking for punctuation, spelling and grammar errors.

If your budget won’t stretch to a full edit for your novel but you need real, professional feedback on your novel, or if you are unsure how to proceed in the process, then this could be the service for you.

After an intensive mini edit, you’ll be armed with knowledge and ideas on how to improve your manuscript. You might decide you need to rework your story or restructure your plot. Then you can focus on improving your writing style, grammar and punctuation.

WHAT YOU GET:
*A tailored self-editing guide with all the guidance your require for your particular novel
*Specific feedback on the first five chapters, presented as comments in Word
*A detailed copy-edit of the first five chapters of your writing sample, conducted using Track Changes in Word, with advice on how to fix your most common issues, such as punctuation and grammar, by yourself
*A PDF report on potential issues with your plot, pacing, dialogue, opening, and writing style with suggestions for improvement
*Advice on either self-publishing or traditional, depending on your preference, where necessary, such as formatting or cover letters and synopsis.

And, of course, the confidence to move forward with your draft.

The Editing Clinic will be run over the course of 4 weeks beginning in January 2019, with only 10 spots available. During the four weeks, you will be free to ask as many questions with regards to your writing or publishing as you require.
