Indira Gandhi (née Nehru) (1917–1984) was an Indian politician and central figure of the Indian National Congress party, and to date the only female Prime Minister of India.

Indira Gandhi was the daughter of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Despite her surname Gandhi, she is NOT related to the family of independence leader Mahatma Gandhi.

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments HUMMINGBIRDS
Most hummingbirds live in the western half of the U.S.
Only one lives and breeds east of the Mississippi River.

Which one is it? --- The correct answer is Ruby-throated

"No one knows for sure why only one hummingbird species lives in the east. One theory is that the climate in the west is more favourable to hummingbirds and the flowers they feed on. Another is that the lack of flowers in arid regions of the Midwest has prevented any species from crossing the continent."

Nina | 6069 comments Interesting trivia about hummingbirds and cardinals do not go past our area to the west and bluejays are not in ID where my daughter lives nor cardinals.

Linda (goodreadscomlinda_p) | 1251 comments Hummingbirds like flowers and insects. We certainly have insects but no flowers in May and sometimes not even June yet the hummingbirds are here. We do put out hummingbird feeders.
