I love Praying Mantis and I love to watch them hatch and hold them. They are great bugs because they eat any other bug they can fit in their mouths. To me, beneficial bugs to have around.

Karen ⚜Mess⚜ I like to knit (even though I haven't done so in quite some time). I'm also a gamer (usually go by Mess or Whattamess. Totally fits me. Trust me). On the weekdays I'm an accountant. When I was growing up in Los Angeles I had a pet duck. And in the 80's / 90's I was a head banger!

AshleyA (MamaNeedsBooks) (mamaneedsbooks) Well, let's see here, I have three kids. My youngest two keep me busy, busy (being one and two) so I don't have a lot of "extra" time, but when I do I love to crochet, thrift, craft, watch crappy "reality" tv (Little Women L.A. is my secret obsession), I also enjoy watching "This Is Us" and "Timeless" when they are in season, I love to canoe/kayak, I love animals, roadtripping, and I am sure tons of other things I am failing to think of at the moment. Sorry Aly, but I can't share your love of bugs. lol

Resident Evil freaks me out! Can't do it. lol. Currently, I mostly play MMO. There's someone I game with who lives in Australia so we stick with the MMOs so we can play together. Right now we're being bored out of our skulls with Black Desert. Sometimes I sneak off into my son's room and play some Destiny.

I've been to Shizuoka twice as well (my dad's family is from there) but unfortunately that's all I've seen of Japan. Would love to visit Kyoto. Would love to go skiing in Hokkaido. Oh, well. Maybe someday!

Same. We never get trick-or-treaters either, though we always get sweets just in case, so I usually end up scoffing those!

For me, Halloweens are good for dressing up and going to a couple of parties. I usually get a little obsessive about my costume each year. Ha!

M.L. and Aiya, I am glad you ladies agree with me. I tell some people what I like to do for Halloween and people tell me I am tooo weird to want to watch scary movies much at all much less at Halloween in the dark. I love horror movies and books! I'm glad I have found a few people that share my Halloween fun.

Anyone do anything fun similar to this any other time? I love to watch horror movies whenever I get the chance. Have anyone heard about Stephen King's "The Mist" coming to a TV series this year in June on SPIKE. I can't to see how cool that show will be! I loved the movie.

I'm not sure how they will do the TV show but if you go http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5639976/?... this is a trailer from IMDB. I hope it will be good!

Roya (eeiko) Yeah, it looks pretty good and like something I would watch! Too bad I don't have cable. Maybe it will come out on Netflix later.
A trailer for the new Annabelle movie came on after the Mist trailer. It looked really good too! Are you guys into the Conjuring and Annabelle movies?
Also, anyone seen Guardian of the Galaxy vol 2? I need to get to the theater and see it soon. I feel like everyone else has seen it besides me.

I do like both Conjuring and Annabelle movies. I plan to see the movie Snatched this weekend with Goldie Hawn. I thought it looked funny. I have not seen Guardian of the Galaxy vol 2 but I have not seen the first one either. :) Maybe I should!

message 44: by Roya (new)

Roya (eeiko) Oh, yeah you should! The first one was hilarious!

AshleyA (MamaNeedsBooks) (mamaneedsbooks) Aly and Eeiko, I love horror movies as well! Haven't watched any in a while cause I am so busy with my toddlers. lol I am not a fan of "The Conjuring." That one scared the bejeezus out of me and I just can't do it again. That one and "The Strangers" are the only fairly recent scary movies that actually scared me. I did watch the first "Annabelle," but didn't love it.

Honestly I have not found too many great scary movies lately. Have any of you seen the "The Forest"? I liked it but it did not scare me. But it was a pretty good thriller. It seems a lot of horror movies go more toward gore now days then scary. What do you think?
