Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth book in the Harry Potter Series. The group is reading the series in preparation for reading the Fantasy Category Winner Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two later in the year.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter is due to start his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His best friends Ron and Hermione have been very secretive all summer and he is desperate to get back to school and find out what has been going on. However, what Harry discovers is far more devastating than he could ever have expected...

Suspense, secrets and thrilling action from the pen of J.K. Rowling ensure an electrifying adventure that is impossible to put down.

I'm planning to start in a couple of days. I'm so glad I did this re-read. There was so much I forgot from books. Plus, I'm loving the audio.

Me too! And I forgot that we get to see a lot more about the twins' joke shop, and that's been a lot of fun to read.

Reija | 101 comments Basically I have re-read this since the first May even if I had books I really should try to finish. It's pretty good still, way too long and there happen so many awful things, I kind of wanted to read something nicer but every book I'm currently reading feels very cruel. This book have couple my favorite HP moments, can't wait to read them again.

Picky Virgo (pickyvirgo) A few days ago I had parathyroid surgery and there's an incision about 4" long across my throat. I need to get to Hogwarts immediately, so that Nearly Headless Nick doesn't feel so alone.

60% or so through (in chapter 24) There are definitely a few bits that I'd forgotten, which just makes the story even better reading through it again. I still can't stand (view spoiler)

We're pretty close Kristie, I'm currently on chapter 26. So much I don't remember ..... I obviously remember the main jist of the story but there's so much more details and smaller stories in the book than there is in the film.

And yes, she's a horrible person ..... I think my most hated character of all time.
