What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book in 2000 and had already been published for some time.I only managed to get my hands on one book in the middle of the series so don't know the complete plot.what I remember is about a female officer who has previously been held hostage by a traitorous criminal captain,who had planted some sort of a device in her brain that with the press of a button could make her feel intense orgasmic pleasure or excruciating pain. She is used as bait to find that criminal by being baited and held hostage by the original criminal captains rival. This rival has a scar on his face and captures her as planned. He rapes her initially but she presses the pleasure button in her remote and fools him into eventually thinking that she loves him and he actually falls in love with her. Halfway through the book,she finds out she is pregnant with the original captains baby. Don't remember much after this but would love to actually read the entire series. Please help.
