The Crunch Issue 0, October 2015 w/ Richard James Jones, Adam Sillman and Rhys Owain Williams
Editorial Seven years ago, Graham Isaac and Adam Sillman organised the first ever edition of The Crunch: a spoken word night hosted in Uplands, Swansea. Held on the second and third Thursdays of each month between December 2008 and October 2012, the night played host to everyone from poetry slam sluggers to Wales Book of the Year winners, with the occasional experimental theatre troupe thrown in for good measure.
Following an unintended three-year hiatus, The Crunch now finally returns in the form a multimedia poetry magazine, curated by original founder Adam Sillman, alongside Richard James Jones and Rhys Owain Williams.
Just like the earlier incarnation, each edition of The Crunch will have a 'feature poet'. This poet will have three of their poems filmed and uploaded to The Crunch online video repository, and also join us for a 30 minute (or so) conversational podcast.
In this primer edition – Issue 0 – we take the opportunity (for those who don't know us) to introduce ourselves. And for those of you who do – it's good to be back!
