The Not a Book Club Club discussion

Part 3

Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 3 (Chapters 9-15).

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

So now we get to some of the really good stuff. We finally learn what's in the letter Tom's been carrying.

It's from Moraine, and she claims to be alive. Apparently she's trapped in Tower of Ghenjei with the Aelfinn and Eelfin that nearly killed Mat much earlier in the series.

And he must be among those who try to save her. Really good stuff. Mat's my favorite character, and Tom is probably one of my favorite supporting characters. I've missed Moraine since she vanished. Hopefully we get to see more of her soon. Either way a subplot with the three of them is pretty interesting.

I wonder who the third will be? Noal has offered to go. He's not someone Moraine knew. Will he be their third? We still don't know much about him, though he's claimed to be a cousin of Jain Farstrider, the famous adventurer.

Forsaken meet was interesting, so now the order is out among their followers to take out Mat & Perrin.

Mat is courting Tuon and she is one tough nut to crack, he takes to a dangerous tavern where the lowest of lowest hangout known as hell, and gets attacked their I think the forsaken followers were behind it.

We then meet Elayne who is battling a siege + pregnancy + mood swings. We don't learn a lot from this story line except the fact that Aviendha has a new talent of identifying ter'angreal.

He doesn't take Tuon to a hell. More like a dive bar. She's lived too sheltered of a life to know the difference.
