message 28: by georgiaotaku (new)

georgiaotaku (daogotaku) I ADORED It's Kind of a Funny Story. Ellen Hopkins is one of my favorite authors and Ned writes about topics similar to the ones she tackles. If you are into that realistic fiction and topics like mental illness it is GREAT.

Alex Kirschbaum | 7 comments Hey people! I'm looking for discerning young readers for my novel. I'd love to hear feedback, get reviews ... whatever! It's up FREE this weekend on Kindle. https://tinyurl.com/Magiciansball
It's also available FREE on Amazon's US, UK and Europe sites.

message 35: by Gertrude. (new)

Gertrude. Kitty (gerttkitty) | 4 comments Hi Marlies, Thirteen Reasons Why for me because I was totally gripped by it, couldn't put it down, read it in a night. Bad Me, Good Me may or maynot be YA but it's a twisty thriller with a teenage protagnoist. I have just self published a YA dark romantic thriller RANDOM ATTACHMENT and would love some feedback - it's available on kindleunlimited https://www.amazon.co.uk/RANDOM-ATTAC... BE THE FIRST TO REVIEW PLEASE

message 36: by Tishara (new)

Tishara Corcoran | 5 comments Thirteen Reason Why is a great and fast read. Series of Unfortunate of events is always a good read but once you read one you will want to read the rest and you already have all these to read already.

message 37: by Stafford (new)

Stafford (staffordbetty) | 2 comments Try "Ghost Boy" by Stafford Betty.
What is it like to be a clairvoyant child who sees what the rest of us can't? They're not as unusual as you might think, but they're often misunderstood and teased. Sometimes they wonder what's wrong with them, so instead of sharing their gift with the world, they hide it. Ben Conover didn't, and this is the story of the price he had to pay--with his friends, his enemies, and his parents. Ghost Boy is full of adventure, some of it paranormal, much of it just plain thrilling. Ben is interesting for more reasons than being a clairvoyant. He hates bullies and has a habit of sticking up for the underdog, and this gets him into plenty of trouble. So does his tendency to take risks, and sometimes he goes too far. I almost titled the book Better Than Cool, because that's what Ben is. In the final analysis, this is a book that teaches the young reader not only about clairvoyant kids like Ben, or ghosts like his girlfriend Abby, but what it means to be a great kid. I see him as a role model for any 12-14 year old boy (or girl) entering puberty.

message 38: by Kristen (new)

Kristen (koom214) | 1 comments I love Sarah J Maas books.

I would recommend The Selection series

message 40: by Janna (new)

Janna Xo | 38 comments Hands down the Clockwork Angel series! All of the books by Cassandra Clare are soooo goood: Mortal Instruments, Infernal Devices and Dark Artifices. After reading the Clockwork Angel series you should go on To Mortal Instruments and then the Dark Artifices as that is like an add on.

The story line is amazing and it’s constant action that keeps you intrigued and hooked! The kind of stories that keep you up until 3 AM. I love the characters! :)
