If I could change anything about this story I would include more resources/positive examples for people wanting to seek help. When Hannah reaches out the Mr. Porter she doesn't get the result she was expecting. This is a good example of how our society can fail people that may seek help, and it was one of my least favorite parts of the book. It is important that people know there are many places where you can seek help successfully. Even if Hannah's story ended the same sharing these resources could save someone's life. Organizations like The Trevor Project (http://www.thetrevorproject.org/) and To Write Love on Her Arms (https://twloha.com/) are a great place to start. They have information on how and where to start seeking help, and also emergency hotlines if needed.
