Does this cover count as a rose/flower? I believe the artist's intent is an outline of a red flower that is referenced in the first book.

The tasks for June are almost completed.

Just a FYI:

The tasks Word Search & (Authors) Birthdays will be ending this month.

In July, The Lottery (1 pt task) and The Amazing Race (2 pt task) will begin.

I also need some feedback about the 5.1 task. Should we keep it going till the end of the year? or have it during months with 31 days (I'm leading towards months with 31 days).

August - Tessa Italy (home to many Renaissance masterpieces, such as Michelangelo's David (in Florence)

October- Diana Romania (Transylvania,a historical region of Romania)

Either option works for me.

I understand your reasoning for only doing it on longer months, but I wonder if those extra days really make a difference. I also wonder if it would be confusing to new members to only see it on certain months.

If I had to vote, I would pick all year because you always have the option to opt-out on the shorter months. It all hinges on how time consuming it is to come up with theme/words for the task.

I will pick March. Country - Ireland - it is snake free, also has the 2nd highest per capita consumption of beer (wasn't sure how the interest tidbits were going to work so thought I would provide 2)

I liked the 5.1 task. I liked that it was open enough to be able to easily find books that would fit.

I agree with Amber. As long as the 5.1 task remains in this format, I think we should keep it. It allows for a wider variety of books to choose from.

No rush. Just want to understand what I'm picking before I pick! :D

I'm very sad. My dog passed away today. She got very sick this pass weekend and was in a lot of pain. The vet had to put her to sleep. She was with me for 16 and a half years, since she was 6 months old. Clover was a wonderful friend and I will miss her greatly.

So Sorry. Glad you had her for so long.

Diana - I'm so sorry for your loss. Pets are one of the greatest treasures on earth. It sounds like you and Clover were blessed to have each other and that you have many loving memories together.

Diana I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. They are part of the family. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Diana - I'm so sorry to hear about your pup - they are definitely members of the family! I'm glad you were together for so long, but it will take time to grieve such a loss.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your wonderful friend. I have suffered such loss and know just how much it hurts. I wish for you healing of your loss and many warm memories of your sweet friend.

I have enjoyed the 5 point tasks and hope they will continue.

I would pick Germany for December as that is the month for all the Christmas Markets. They are such a wonderful experience

Each month, I'll be tossing lots (numbers between 0 - 9) Then you have a choice: match chosen numbers with book's page numbers or published date.
Example will be given.

*** For The Amazing Race

Book 1 - Capture the Flag
Book must be set in chosen country

Book 2 - Detour
you will be given 3 tasks to choose from: about the interesting tidbits of the chosen country.
( for this part I'll be asking you to come up with the tasks)

*** The Surprise Me task & the 5 point task will continue till December. :D

For the Amazing Race I choose April and my country is Poland! Easter is an amazing holiday to be Polish since there are so many different types of yummy food!
