Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 1 (Prologue-Chapter 6).

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

So this probably belongs in the discussion for last book, but I dont remember what that happens, so I'll bring it up here because it was brought up somewhere in this section.

Aram is dead. Masema corrupted him against Perrin. Perrin had to kill him. Poor Tinker. Although I never much liked the guy. Is this Perrin's fault? Masema? His own fault. Would have have picked up a sword and got himself killed if not for Perrin and Egwyane staying with them? Hard to say.

Also Masema is batshit crazy. Or should I say was batshit crazy. Faile followed him and finished him off. Good Riddance.

Egwayne is still dealing with bullshit in the Tower. I'm curious of the timeline of this chapter compared to the last chapter we got with Elaida. Speaking of crazy. She wants to change the 3 oaths to add one of loyalty to the tower and/or the Armyln? I know the Black Ajah/Forsaken have been working to split the tower..but Elaida sure is her own worst enemy.

Bill | 1596 comments I'm kind of upset about Aram. Thought he was a good twist on the Aiel origins. Masema is soooo crazy. Did we ever get anything on one of the forsaken messing with his mind or was that all him? Kind of reminded me of Padan Fain. I really like Faile making sure to end his threat. Rand and Perrin leave too many loose ends with all their rules about killing people.

I kind of wish Elaida was black ajah just so she had a reason for all of her shitty decisions. Why the hell is she building a palace? It makes zero sense.

Really liked getting the prologue part on Renald and Thulin. It's cool to see how what's going on in the world effects the little people. Also nice to finally see some characters with some common sense. Hope they end up joining Lan's army. I'm also desperately hoping we get some Lan chapters.

Looks like Moridin is leaving Semirhage to Rand. Like all the factions in the forsaken and seeing how they try to outmaneuver each other. Kind of disappointed that they are so petty.

Looking forward to seeing more of Rodel. Seems like a tactical genius and could be extremely helpful leading Rand's army. Wanted to see more of the blade masters once we found out about Rand's heron marked sword and excited to see how much that plays into the story. Didn't really make a difference with Tam.

We don't. But it sure sounded like it at the end there. As though someone was telling him what to do. Maybe pretending to be Rand?

Sumant | 522 comments Ya Faile killing Maesema was a big thing. I kind of like the borderlands people from start, but Maesema just went over the edge.

So Asangar was in Egwene's camp pretending to be Halima I think. Also is Demandred Taim ? Just feeling a connection between them.

Bill | 1596 comments The forsaken are so hard to keep track of for me with the being reborn with different names and then having aliases. Asangar was Halima that much I know.

Interesting theory with Demandred. We don't get anything on what he has been doing. I think he is going to end up being someone really big and close to Rand.
