Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 7 (Chapters 45-End).

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

Bill | 1596 comments Rand finally completely snaps and kills Tam and then regains his sanity by laughing on top of a mountain. Am I correct in assuming that destroying the access key cuts him off from the dark lords power? was a bit hazy on that. Love how Tam stood up to Cadsuane who I can't stand.

I loved everything about Egwene becoming Amyrlin and how she is working to reunite the tower by making both sides shoulder the blame. Shame she couldn't take out more of the black sisters but at least they know who they are fighting now. Looking forward to seeing who Masema has been hiding as.

Wish we could have had some Lan chapters in this book. I really wanted to see him collecting his army. Maybe in the next one.

I don't know how long I can hold off before starting the next one.

Kills Tam? I think you meant to say, tries to kill Tam? I'm not sure if the statue was the source of the Dark One's power. That certainly is a good theory. He became obsessive over that thing, and we know the whole reason the Dark One got free in the first place was people looking for more power.

The only thing that makes me think your theory might be wrong is that why would the Dark One allow him to clean the taint with his own power?

I don't recall if we get more of an explanation or if Rand uses the Dark One's power in the final books, so I'll have to keep a close eye out for that and possibly do some research about it afterwards.

Egwene made this book for me. I always looked forward to her chapters the most, even over Mat's which are normally my favorites. I know Mat has some great stuff coming up in the next two book though, but Egwene's not done yet either.

I don't remember who Masema is hiding as. I am looking forward to finding out (or maybe I'll get impatient and look it up) and how she was able to avoid being discovered when Egwene is purging the tower of Black Ajah.

I agree about the lack of Lan chapters. I know we get more in the final two books, but I don't recall how many/how often that happens. I do recall them being pretty great though.

I think since you're almost done with the final two books I may hold off until late next month when I can hopefully do the final two books back to back. I just need to finish 2-3 other books first.

Sumant | 522 comments I want to discuss the prophecies and Min's viewing in this chapter, she says that The dragon reborn can wield callandor when three unite, now as per cadusane, Rand will need two women with him in circle to wield it.

I have a different theory I think when Rand unites with Lewis as well as Moridin with their connection he will be able to fully yield callandor.

Also Min sees Nyaneve crying over corpse, doesn't look good Lan.

With Rand destroying the key, I think it is going to become important that how he yields callandor.

Also Rand wielding True power is a sort of boom for him, I think he will be able to use dark one's power against him in last battle.

Also now Lewis has fully united with Rand.
